Mrs. Mary Ellen (Turner) Bennett. aged 82 years, died suddenly on Sunday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gordon, on Timber Ridge Mrs. Gordon was a daughter   of Mrs. Bennett.
She was born at Cabins, Grant county, on August 20, 1868, a daughter of the late John and Mary Turner. She was twice married.
Her first husband was Barnet Kile, and the couple lived in The Sinks near Osceola, and in Clay county. There were eight children born to this union, with two daughters and two sons preceding their mother to the grave. She is survived by Mrs. Artie Berg, Strange Creek, W. Va., Mrs. MyrtIe Donahue and Mrs, Fannie Sprickland, both of Widen, this state, and John Kile, of Boomer, W. Va.
Mrs. Bennett's second husband was the late, Moses Bennett, well known Spruce Knob mountaineer, who died a year or so ago. Mrs. Gordon was the only child of this union. She and Mr. Bennett lived, near the summit of Spruce Knob for 38 years. Since the death of Mr. Bennett, she had been making her home with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon.   She leaves one brother, Ben Turner, of Elkins. One brother preceded her in death.
Her funeral was held yesterday in the Methodist church on Upper Timber ridge, with Rev. Frantz
Casto officiating, and burial was made in the Bennett family cemetery in that section. She was a member of the Methodist church
