Hello Carolyn,
Thanks so much for this information. I am related to Valentine Cooper b. 1745 who died in Hardy co. Va in 1835. His parents have been elusive and there has been speculation on who they were. Since he lived in the vicinity of other Cooper/Kieffers in Hampshire and Hardy co. it seems he would be related to them, but so far it hasn't been proven. One possibility is Vincens Kueffer/Kieffer who came to America with his brother Valentine and wife Anna Barbara and 3 children aboard the ship Bilander Townsend in 1737.
They resided in Lancaster co. Pa. Both brothers began baptizing children there and the records are part of Rev.Casper Stoever's.Vincens married Anna Margaret Vollmer, (a widow) dau of Philip Frederick
Eichelberger and Barbara Dorners. She had previously been married to Adam Vollmer. These are the children I had listed.
1. Valentine b. 25 Mar 1745
2. Catarina b. 11 Mar 1747
3. Johann George

Anna Margaret Vollmer Eichelberger must have died before 1749 because Vincens married an Eva Hubeler - here is Rev. Stoever's marriage record - 1749 11 14 Kuefer, Vincens - Hubeler, Eva Maria (Derry)

Leonhardt Kueffer/Kieffer had a daughter baptized by Rev. Stoever. Here is the entry. KUEFFER, LEONHARDT (Chestnut Hil1) Kueffer, Margaretha Barbara, b 11 19 1733; bap 12 16 1733, Spon. Christoph Ollinger & Barbara Reugerin I have been told by another researcher that this is the Leonard Kieffer b.
1707 son of Friedrich Kieffer whose family came over in 1732 on the ship Samuel. These Kieffer's moved to Va. and changed the name to Cooper.

I found a Vincent Cooper on the 1787 Tax list for Frederick co. VA. Does anyone know who this Vincent is????? Here is the info
