442Hi Craig - my name is Bonnie Owens, & I live in Naperville, Illinois. I have also been researching my family's roots, and we are related by marriage to the Daniel Boone family: his son, Daniel Morgan Boone, married Sarah Griffin Lewis, daughter of Elizabeth Harvey and John Baptiste Lewis. Elizabeth was his first wife. After she died, he married Frances Mathews in St. Louis and had one more child, James Harvey Lewis, born in 1819. He was my ggg-grandfather. It may interest you to know that John Baptiste is part of the extended Meriwether Lewis family, which is what got me started on this. His father was John Lewis IV, who was an uncle to Meriwether. That side goes back to John "Councillor" Lewis in the 1600's; the family intermarried with the Warners of Virginia, as well as the George Washington family through Martha Custiss Washington. So, by marriage, generations out, we are related. For my part, James Harvey had a daughter Frances, who had a daughter, Anna, who had a daughter Leelah, who had a daughter, Beverly, my mother. They all stayed in the St. Louis area. Thank you for the site - it gives me some ideas to create one of my own.
